Our Anesthesia Services

Office based anesthesia allows you to treat patients in your own practice without the need for outside referrals. It helps create a comfortable experience for the patient while enabling you to work efficiently and effectively.

If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Smith at drsmith@alpinedentalanesthesia.com. Responses are typically provided within a few hours.

Mild (Anxiolytic) Sedation

Some patients benefit from mild sedation using one or two medications. This option is designed to reduce anxiety and help you feel more relaxed during your dental treatment.

Intubated General Anesthesia

This  is a deeper level of anesthesia in which you are fully asleep. A breathing tube is placed to secure your airway and support safe breathing throughout the procedure.

This option allows you to be completely unaware of the procedure, with no pain, memory, or discomfort. It is often recommended for patients undergoing more extensive treatment.

IV Moderate (Conscious) Sedation

Moderate (conscious) sedation is a good option for patients with higher levels of anxiety who may not be candidates for general anesthesia. It may also be recommended for those with more complex medical histories or for patients who prefer a deeper level of relaxation with some memory loss.

With this type of sedation, you remain responsive and able to follow verbal instructions during the procedure.

Open Airway General Anesthesia

This form of general anesthesia is similar to intubated anesthesia, but without the use of a breathing tube. Instead, the airway remains open, and protective measures are used to ensure safe breathing throughout the procedure.

It can be a safe and effective option for appropriately selected patients and procedures.
